Bush is full of shit and always has been. I give those that were distorted by his bs a pass in 2000, but anyone that voted for him in 2004 is a moron and doesn't get a vote this year.

Now granted, given recent events, trusting another Republican on science policy is probably dumber than loaning your Gold Card to a crack head. But McCain has indicated he will reverse Bush’s asinine decree against federal funding of Embryonic Stem Cell Lines. Despite a little political hedging here and there, the Arizona Senator also seems to accept evolutionary biology and the scientifically determined age of the earth and universe. Hallelujah!
And on climate change, in comparison to the present administration (A low bar to be sure), McSurge is at least tuning in on the same wavelength as his presumptive rivals. But ...
Chris Mooney -- The fact that the presidential field has apparently narrowed to these three contenders might seem grounds for planetary rejoicing. However, it's important to note that despite their broad similarities, when it comes to global warming McCain and the two leading Democrats aren't perfectly interchangeable.
From an utterly bizarre paper on mitochondria -- reportedly containing blatant plagiarism -- that looks like something edited by a Saudi cleric " ... the points that show proteomics overlapping between different forms of life are more likely to be interpreted as a reflection of a single common fingerprint initiated by a mighty creator ..." As opposed to the garden variety, un-mighty creator of the universe?
